Information about Mrs. Rankin Background Information: I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, so I'll be a Pittsburgh fan for life! I have three older siblings; two brothers and one sister. All of my family members still live in Pittsburgh. After college, I moved to Maryland/Northern Virginia where I lived for three years and taught in a public Middle School. Math was always my favorite subject in school, I have always enjoyed doing it and teaching it to others, which is why I am here now.
College Information: I went to Saint Vincent College near Pittsburgh where I got a Bachelors of Art degree in Elementary Education and Art Education. During my time at Saint Vincent, I spent a semester abroad in Australia for four months where I gained lots of life experiences. I encourage all students to consider studying abroad when they go to college, it was one of the most amazing experiences in my life that I will never forget. I have a master's degree in Administration through the American College of Education. My long term goal is to become an administrator or even work for the Department of Education. I am very interested in how we can improve our school systems and create a safe and fun learning environment.
